Since childhood, family game nights were a tradition, but Monopoly was always off-limits due to my mom's competitive nature. Seeking solace, I found sanctuary in caring for houseplants. From this contrast, Plantopoly emerged—a game merging Monopoly's tension with the tranquility of nurturing plants. From sharing cuttings to battling stubborn pests, Plantopoly fosters connections and cultivates green thumbs. So, gather your friends, roll the dice, and embark on a journey to greenhouse glory!
Gallery Space
Plantopoly was a Senior Thesis project and a part of my class's gallery show. For the space, I wanted it to feel like you just walked into someone's living room and interrupted their game. The wall is covered in plants to mimic the cluttered feeling of the board. The space is meant to be warm and inviting so people to enter the space and interact with it.
